This critical leadership role involves managing nine managers and a large team, overseeing operations, safety, and financial management.Providing strategic and operational leadership for all technical and workshop services across the College.Leading and mentoring technical services staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, flexibility, and excellence.Ensuring compliance with work health and safety (WHS) standards, embedding a strong safety culture.Planning and implementing technical service changes, adapting to emerging trends in teaching and research.Developing and maintaining best-practice operational processes, focusing on continuous improvement and service delivery.Managing financial and resource allocations for technical services, including capital expenditure and budget forecasting.Ideally, you will have a strong leadership background in a technical or engineering environment encompassing operations, financial and WHS management.This continuing position is full time at a HEW 9 Higher Education Level located at Callaghan Campus.About our UniversityThe University of Newcastle stands as a global leader distinguished by a commitment to equity and excellence.
