Technical Services Manager

We are seeking a Technical Service Manager to be based in Canberra.
The role is critical to the maintenance and repairs, improvements, and management of communications, surveillance, and RADAR systems for defence aerospace platforms.
The successful applicant will work within a dynamic team and an industry leader in the Defence Sector.
This is a key role within the team that will encompass a wide range of responsibilities.
You will be involved in the management of spares and repairable items and manage a team of specialists to conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs.
The Role: Investigate, resolve, diagnose, and document parts (defect reports, incident reports, etc.
)Exercise Technical Authority and Logistics authority to the level of delegationUndertake Technical inspections of repairable items and new itemsUndertake quality assurance of partsAssist warehouse, logistics, and inventory managementDeliver repair and maintenance support to mission-critical & controlled itemsPerform and manage workshop planning, coordination, and operationsEnsure QA standards AS/NZS9001, 9001, and 14001 are adhered toLiaise with internal and external stakeholders in resolution of technical issuesRequirements: Technical qualifications in Electronics or ElectricalExcellent working knowledge of technical and engineering standardsHighly experienced in the technical inspection of partsTraceable Leadership in a busy workshop facilityExperienced in making improvements to processes and proceduresExperience in the setting up and application of testing equipmentKnowledge of either Six Sigma, LEAN, or 5S continuous Improvement methodsApplicants MUST be eligible for a Defence Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship)This role is a critical position within the organisation that requires a mature self-starter to manage a team of specialists to conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repairs.
