Technical Program Manager - Secure Facilities Build, Region Services Amazon Web Services Australia Pty Ltd - Melbourne, VIC
DESCRIPTIONAmazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) Facilities, to join the Region Services organization and serve as a technical resource and to take the lead solving some of the toughest operational challenges in some of the most sensitive and mission-critical clouds.
The TPM will be responsible for driving large-scale global projects and initiatives, leading cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new workflow features and tools that enhance productivity, open capacity at a faster rate and secure devices to AWS standards.
We are looking for a passionate, deeply technical, and results-oriented Technical Program Manager (TPM) to define and drive Region Services initiatives.
You will have a proven track record of planning and delivering complex programs with a multi-year roadmap, using Agile and incremental delivery methods.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with Service Teams, Security, Infrastructure and Business Development to design and deliver new AWS regions.
You will work with all stakeholders to develop schedules that ensure timely launch of new regions.
You will assess risks, anticipate issues, overcome technical obstacles, make difficult trade-off decisions, and balance business needs and technical constraints.
Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities.
You will have a deep understanding of distributed system design and delivery.
You will successfully represent program status to senior leadership.
Your program management expertise and operational excellence will influence the team's decisions and drive secure and scalable solutions.
You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences and researching and developing new region build methodologies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.5+ years of technical program management involving physical fitout, infrastructure, and facilities management.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.Experience managing projects across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.Acknowledgement of countryIn the spirit of reconciliation, Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea, and community.
