See yourself in our team The Service Management Modernisation Program (SMM) is a pivotal transformation to achieve the target state DevSecOps vision. In simple terms, we aim to optimise some highly manual and administrative operational work, to simplify the life of service owners and engineers who build and run these services. This role will support directly this highly visible and in-demand roadmap of modernisation and automations.
The backlog of work is wide can range from simplifying a process, eliminate some hands-off or attestations, to completely automate the way we run our compliance around technology controls. The technologies will be around Data and analytics, UI and dashboards, automations and system integrations.
This newly formed squad will be embedded in SRE engineering and start working together at with a new Product Manager who can balance effort and complexity across a list of improvements you will be involved with engineers in Business units to creatively solve their problems and pan points.

Your responsibilities will include: Work closely with the central enablement teams: Engineers, Process Leads and Tech Leads (small pod of consultants will help with the tech strategy and directions), to translate product vision, strategy and roadmap into actionable tasks and be responsible for delivery outcomes.Work with the central team and also bank wide users to capture problems into user stories and then workshop with engineers to action into solutions, and with business stakeholders to prove the business value.Identify and manage risks, dependencies and issues for the Squad.Work collaboratively with engineers of other product teams and Business Stakeholders to prioritize the backlog, to identify the pain points, automation opportunities and performance bottlenecks in existing infrastructure.Facilitates the gathering of and ideas from the teams within CBA (outside of the central enablement team), and distils it all down to a customer backlog.Take accountability for the development and direction of strategic programs of work, using knowledge of platform architectures to deliver systems that are seamlessly integrated, comply with technical requirements and deliver business outcomes.Role model best practices and industry standards to inspire and ensure strategic practice development within teams or platform.Take accountability and drive a learning focused culture including mentoring and up-skilling within own and adjacent teams and technologies. Tech Skills: We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team:
Ideally you come from an engineering background or you are a principal engineer who has evolved into Product management career.Proficient with JIRA, confluence, Scrum and Agile framework and culture.Technical knowledge important for this role - DevOps, C/CD, system integrations. APIs and software engineering as well as ServiceNow, Operations and service management would be desirable.
