Business Development Manager Alexandria, New South Wales, Australia

Details of the offer

SKUTOPIA is a fast-growing Australian Technology Driven third party logistics Company (3PL). We're building innovative ecosystems that power the booming e-commerce industry. Our team is driven to create innovative products, a sustainable planet and society, and on a mission to democratise and decarbonise logistics.
At SKUTOPIA, we offer unique products that are revolutionizing the e-commerce industry. Our SaaS solution empowers businesses to efficiently manage orders, inventory, shipping, and warehousing across multiple storefronts. Our RaaS (Robotics as a Service) solution, a testament to our deep technology focus, enables merchants to fulfil online orders at unprecedented speed and quality, leveraging our in-house software, AI, and computer vision technologies.
About The Role
The Business Development Manager is vital to the success of SKUTOPIA. From day one, you will have an immediate impact as you will lead our sales, identify and acquire new customers, and cultivate strong relationships with our existing clients to help grow their businesses. Ideally, you will have proven experience in a business development or client-facing role.
In this role, you will:
Maximise Inbound Business potential: Convert incoming leads into new customers, utilise referrals, and upscale existing customers. Connect with and influence key stakeholders. Drive Outbound Sales opportunities: Self-source new business leads through multiple ways, including networking, referrals, marketing activities, partners, and proactive research and target customers by cold and warm outreach over the phone, email, or LinkedIn. Frequently meet new clients face to face to pitch/close new business, building long-lasting relationships with customers to support them through their experience with us. Continually optimise for process improvements and ways to work efficiently by working closely with multiple stakeholders, feedback back customer insights to the business to better our go-to-market, product features and marketing messaging and ensuring all customer interactions are recorded in our CRM (HubSpot). Strive to overachieve your KPIs and proactively develop solutions when required, stay up-to-date about the competitive landscape and market shifts. Be highly autonomous, in charge of your own diary and driven to deliver results. We think you'll need to be:
A sales gun: 3+ years in a business development or client-facing role, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment. Highly driven: Motivated and the ability to get stuff done. A people person: Feel energised by coordinating a wide variety of people. A great communicator: Comfortable with speaking on the phone, often with many stakeholders. A true team player: Desire to learn and to work with highly talented, skilled, and unique individuals. A growth mindset owner: You love to look for new ways to improve, save time and do things smarter. You are keen to build new things from the ground up together with a fun and collaborative team. A startupper at heart: You are comfortable with starting a project or task with incomplete information. You also understand that in start-ups, things move and change quickly, so it's essential to work with resolve while knowing that things could change within a few days. When you join us, you'll be an important pillar of a rapidly growing startup. From day one you will be challenged to take risks, think big and make an impact while getting lots of love and support from the team. With our expected growth over the next 12 months, this is a role with plenty of breadth and variety where you can grow with us and be proud of what we achieve together.
We proudly welcome people from all diverse backgrounds. When you join SKUTOPIA, we want you to bring your whole self to work and we value your unique contribution.
What's next?
If you're keen to find out more, apply now with your resume and we'll be in touch soon. After an initial screening call, you can expect an initial 'getting to know you' meeting to provide more detail about the role and answer your questions. We may then provide a skills-based task followed by a final interview.
Still on the fence?
We know that statistically, some groups are less likely to apply for a role than others, depending on their perception of whether they meet some or all of the criteria. If you have most of the things we're looking for, we encourage you to apply!
