About the Opportunity: Reporting into the Head of Software Engineering, the Technical Product Owner will prioritize and oversee the successful delivery of new or improved capabilities in the areas of Integration & Site Reliability Engineering.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the flow of work requested by projects/persistent teams, inclusive of requirement definition and acceptance criteria refinement Slicing & Estimating work into incrementally deliverable releases & prioritizing backlog Work collaboratively with the Technical Leads to define the solution vision and strategy for a product and/or feature roadmaps Collaborate with architecture, Tech Leads and other technical stakeholders to define the detailed solution requirements and acceptance criteria, enabling incremental release Manage priorities and sequence the delivery collaboratively with Delivery Leads & Product Owners Work closely with Dev Teams to understand potential opportunities and technical limitations Champion DevSecOps, Agile delivery, and continuous improvement Lead a small team of a Technical BA & a Scrum Master About You: You will be joining a team dedicated to delivering resilient, reliable and scalable solutions that support the wider organisation and our over 2 million customers.
To be successful in this role you will need the following experience:
Tertiary qualification in computer science, information technology, business systems or other relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent significant practical experience Experience in leading and growing cross-functional teams to deliver outcomes, particularly teams comprised of cloud, integration and SRE engineers within an Agile and DevSecOps delivery methodology Experience working in or closely alongside cloud teams, including how to design, shape and execute test & learn activities, how to run simulation/scenarios to understand trade-offs/implications, how to value uplift opportunities against "do nothing" scenarios Minimum 7 years' experience in industry (Energy or other major sector) with prior knowledge of project delivery methodologies Experience in Agile & hybrid delivery models and/or experience working in or managing DevOps teams (relevant certifications desirable, but not mandatory) Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven success in communicating complex analysis across all levels within a business including senior management Experience in and understanding of the Energy industry (desirable) How to Apply: If you're ready to 'light the way' towards your next career move, click the 'Apply' button to submit a confidential application.
