As a Level 2 Technical Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the successful development and execution of our products. Your primary focus will be on understanding customer needs, translating them into clear requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and business stakeholders, to define product requirements, prioritise features, and ensure timely and high-quality releases.
Responsibilities Impact on Strategy Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders and internal teams to gather and document product requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of the desired outcomes. Communication and Coordination: Facilitate effective communication between the development team and stakeholders. Act as a liaison to clarify requirements, answer questions, and address concerns. User Story Development: Assist in breaking down high-level requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria, ensuring that the development team understands what needs to be built. Sprint Review and Retrospective: Contribute to sprint review sessions to ensure that the product meets customer expectations. Participate in retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with development teams, UX/UI designers, QA analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient product development process. Foster effective communication and collaboration to drive successful outcomes. Product Launch and Adoption: Coordinate and support product launches, including creating release plans. Product Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining product documentation, including user manuals, release notes, and feature descriptions, ensuring accuracy and completeness. User Experience (UX): Advocate for a user-centred design approach. Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure the delivery of intuitive and delightful user experiences. Leadership and Management Sprint Planning: Participate in sprint planning sessions, assisting the Product Manager in determining the scope of work for each sprint and establishing achievable goals. Product Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritise the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-defined, estimated, organised, and aligned with business priorities. Continuously refine and reprioritise user stories based on feedback and changing market conditions. Agile Development Process: Embrace Agile principles and methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, to facilitate iterative and incremental development. Collaborate with the Scrum Master and development team to ensure timely delivery of product increments. Stakeholder Management: Engage and communicate with key stakeholders, including Product Managers, executives, and internal teams, to gather feedback, set expectations, and provide updates on product development progress. Project Management: Track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Any other duties that may be required by your Manager or the Company, providing you have been adequately trained to execute them. These duties may be required from time to time or on a permanent basis. Skills and Experience Must have experience with Microsoft technologies. Eg: SharePoint, MS Dynamics Proven experience (2+ years) as a Product Owner or similar role, preferably in an Agile software development environment. Proven ability to identify and resolve problems effectively, displaying a proactive and solution-oriented mindset. Experience with Agile tools, such as JIRA or Trello, and familiarity with Agile frameworks like Scrum or Kanban. Familiarity with UX/UI design principles and processes is a plus. Experience with data analytics and metrics tracking desirable. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), are highly desirable. Deployment and development of SaaS software desirable. Technical Expertise Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Collaborative Nature: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, cross-functional environment, building relationships and fostering collaboration. Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality products that meet user expectations. Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and able to quickly adapt to changing priorities and business needs. Passion for Technology: Enthusiasm for emerging technologies, software development processes, and the ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends. Self-Motivated: A proactive individual who takes ownership of tasks and demonstrates the drive to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities.
