Technical Oversight – 12-month contract Salary: circa £45,000

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team in a Technical Oversight role.
In this position, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and managing property claims, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout the process.

A bit about the job: You will oversee the performance of both insourced and outsourced buildings claims, ranging from low to high complexity. Support the development of technical standards and professional skills to ensure excellence in claims handling, safeguarding customer experience, indemnity spend, and operational efficiency through a robust governance framework. You will be responsible for the oversight of customer journey and indemnity spend on buildings claims through performance reviews for both insourced and outsourced claim fulfilment methods. You will be required to carry out effective quality reviews/audits of both internally handled desk claims and claims handled by our buildings suppliers. Deliver technical training & support to customer-facing teams and suppliers and evaluating technical referrals to identify capability and change opportunities. Supporting external QA and SAT audits to evaluate supplier performance. Skills and experience we're looking for: Good knowledge of the insurance industry related and experience in handling commercial property claims. Good buildings technical knowledge & experience, adopting current best practices, buildings pathology.
Ability to review building repair scopes. Experience in effectively managing stakeholders including brokers and service providers as well as resolving customer complaints. Politically agile, skilled communicator/conflict manager, flexible in style/responsive to situations, able to challenge and positively influence others at all levels, internally and externally. Good commercial awareness & appreciation of the economic environment. What you'll get for this role: Salary circa £45,000 - depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications. Bonus opportunity - 8% of annual salary.
Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
