Mackay Regional Council has two opportunities available for motivated and experienced Quality Technical Officers to join our Organisational Capability and Risk Department. These are permanent full-time positions with a 9-day fortnight roster.
About this opportunity:
As a Quality Technical Officer, you will assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) for Mackay Regional Council's Infrastructure and Operations Department, and provide system support for the Civil Operations, Field Services and Design Services Programs (stakeholders) within Council.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
QLD "C" Class Drivers Licence or interstate equivalent. QLD General Construction Induction White Card. Appropriate position classification level will be dependent on the candidates' qualifications and experience in the following areas:
Diploma in Quality Auditing (or equivalent Quality Management qualification) Experience in administrating a quality management system, ideally in a construction or a similar technical field. Experience in Lead Auditing of management systems and processes. Ability to interpret and apply legislation, industry specifications, ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 as they relate to the position. Ability to build rapport with, and provide a high level of support to, stakeholders and fellow team members. Contribute to achieving team objectives, work effectively as a team member and provide assistance to other team members as necessary to contribute to a multi-skilled environment. Base annual salary range of $74,750 - $82,690 (contingent on your experience and qualifications) Up to 18% superannuation (conditions apply).
