Reporting to the Team Lead (Pilbara), you will play a key role in supporting our Operations and Maintenance teams across APA. This role forms an important part of the operations team.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure the safe and efficient operation of high-pressure natural gas transmission pipelines, compression and conditioning assetsContribute to the continuous improvement of the assets and practices of APA both locally and nationally.Maintain & operate equipment in accordance with the scheduled work plan to ensure the capacity, availability, and reliability of the transmission assets.Ensure all maintenance data is recorded and available for analysis and audit by writing detailed reports and other correspondence.Maintain and develop stakeholder relationships.Maximise field time, equipment uptime, completion of preventative maintenance and minimise reactive maintenance and breakdowns.Contribute to the safety culture in accordance with APA's HSE procedures.Your backgroundRelevant Australian recognised trade certificate (instrument/electrical)Minimum 2 years' experience in similar operational environmentSignificant oil/gas experienceWorking knowledge of gas engine alternators and off grid power generation systemsAdvanced knowledge of Solar turbines, reciprocating compression sets, pressure regulating valves, water bath heaters and quality metering instruments.Able to install, commission and fault find all associated components and programming of PLC, SCADA, satellite and telemetry systems.Certificate III in Process Plant Operations PMA30120 or similar demonstrated experienceComputer literate with advanced verbal and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of Maximo or similar CMMS systemAbility to work with minimum supervision.Advanced fault-finding skills.C class drivers' licence.Able to obtain police clearanceAbout the TeamThe Pilbara O&M team are responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of gas to our contracted customers on the Telfer, PEPL and Goldfield Gas pipelines in the Pilbara. We maintain an extensive portfolio of pipelines and gas compression stations spread over large distances in some of the most remote country in the state. Typical equipment includes: turbine and reciprocal compression units, GEA's and customer delivery stations which contain pressure and temperature regulation equipment. We also maintain the metering and gas quality measuring instruments which are integral to the custody transfer of gas along the pipelines under our control.Working at APAAPA is an equal opportunity employer.
