Job ExpectationsA fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Lead Technical Specialist, reporting to the Manager of the Production Engineering - Fixed Wireless team, where you will join an expert group dedicated to supporting network integration, augmentation, and migration within the Fixed Wireless access network. A bit about your role. As the Lead Technical Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the seamless integration and migration of Fixed Wireless RAN networks. Your expertise will be essential in providing SME-level support to engineers working on network upgrades, testing new technologies, and introducing these advancements into production. You will also be responsible for upskilling engineers, drafting deployment processes, and implementing tools and automation to scale network upgrades with minimal error. Your work will ensure high network availability, reducing customer impact, and promoting continuous improvement through efficiency enhancements.
Your role will involve building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, delivery partners, Managed Services Partners, and vendors. You will also provide crucial 24/7 support, including after-hours assistance for FTARs and network escalation management.
A bit about you
If this role sounds like the right fit for you, it's likely that you possess a degree in Engineering or a related technical field, along with more than 12 years of telecommunications experience, particularly in the Fixed Wireless RAN and Tx engineering domains. You should have at least 5 years of experience as a subject matter expert in the Fixed Wireless RAN sub-domain, with a proven history of successfully leading programs from design through to delivery. Your expertise should include hands-on experience configuring Ericsson devices such as ML 669x, ML TN, NPU 1002/5, ETU 1001/2, cabinet 6120/6150, BB 6630, RP6651, RRUs, and RAUs, as well as Cisco NCS540. Additionally, you should have in-depth experience with network management systems, including NGDM, ENM, CNC, and EPNM, and be familiar with programming languages like Python, Unix, and Moshell CLI.
