The Opportunity
We are currently looking for a
Technical Business Analyst
to join our Agile software development team for the delivery of secure government systems in support of the Department of Defence. As a
Technical Business Analyst , you will capture and document client requirements to support the delivery of features into software.
Due to the nature of KBR's work, all applicants must hold a minimum of NV1 Security Clearance (usually only granted to Australians).
Responsibilities
Reviewing customer requirements and working with the development team to design appropriate solutions
Authoring technical system documentation for current and future system requirements
Documenting detailed system use cases, workflows, technical rules, user stories and user acceptance criteria with input from users and subject matter experts
Analysing existing system functionality
Contributing to all Agile software development sprint events
Assisting with task decomposition and the estimation of work
Assisting with system testing as part of the development process, including performance and functional testing
Representing KBR in a professional manner and adhering to KBR policies and practices as outlined in the Business Management System and Security documentation
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in similar roles
Proven ability to write technical documentation to support the development and maintenance of software systems
Proven ability to demonstrate that software outcomes match technical documentation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
Excellent organisation/prioritisation skills
Desirable:
High levels of comprehension of web delivered software systems
Proven ability to contribute to the delivery of software systems to the Commonwealth of Australia
Functional understanding of cyber security best practices for web delivered software systems
Experience with relational databases using SQL
Engineering and/or IT qualifications
