The Opportunity
At APA, our purpose is simple: to strengthen communities through responsible energy. We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Technical Authority Process Safety to join our Planning and Engineering team in Thomastown, Eagle Farm or Kidman Park on a full-time basis.
Reporting to the Manager Technical Authority, you will be responsible for developing, improving and facilitating the business processes to deliver improved process safety standards within APA Group Networks division.
Key ResponsibilitiesSteward Process Safety business improvements per Process Safety APA Group PracticeImprove effective utilisation of management of change in Networks, ensuring project and operational risks are understood and managedSteward the Model Bow Tie diagram development program to assess Networks risksSupport the incident reporting and investigation process for the Networks business and monitor resultant process safety requirements and improvementsSupport process safety improvement projects, including safety critical equipment management, safe operating limits and alarm management processesCommunicate effectively and collaboratively with various audiences and disciplines, using appropriate verbal, written, and visual methods and toolsAbout YouEssential Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical / Process Engineering or related field, admitting to full membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia (CPEng) and/or Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) statusEssential Skills: Advanced knowledge and skills in process safety engineering (Risk assessment/ Hazop/LOPA, QRA)Experience in implementing process safety systemsAbility to fulfil a coaching role and/or to be an effective member of a multi-disciplinary project teamEffective internal and external stakeholder management skillsWorking at APAAt APA we're committed to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace where you can achieve your best.
