About the role:
We are currently seeking a Technical Advisor – Wastewater Processes. This is a full-time permanent opportunity from 13th January 2025 within the Treatment and Resource Recovery group, based in Subiaco Water Resource Recovery Facility in Shenton Park.
Under the guidance of the Senior Technical Advisor, you will provide a specialist treatment process engineering and scientific advisory service to support wastewater treatment operations.
What the role entails:
Providing technical advice and process engineering support to Wastewater Treatment operations.
Investigate, report, and implement 'day to day' improvements in operational processes to achieve performance targets.
Provide process-related technical input into site workstreams such as minor capital projects and both operational and maintenance task planning as required.
Preparing technical reports on the performance of the plant and operational wastewater processes.
Undertake Critical Control Point (CCP) reporting, monthly and annual reporting on wastewater processes.
Undertake process, energy and chemical monitoring, reporting, and optimization initiatives.
Assist the Plant Manager with data collection, data verification and performance reporting.
Assisting with the development and implementation of local documentation, including Work Instructions and Process Control Tables.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders—including personnel from Asset Management Division, Water Quality, and Planning and Design Branches—to improve plant/process performance.
Ideally, you will possess:
Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering or science discipline.
Experience in an engineering operational environment is desirable.
Knowledge and experience in wastewater treatment process operations, design, troubleshooting, chemistry, microbiology or related laboratory and analytics.
Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Effective problem-solving skills in relation to the O&M of wastewater related processes.
Demonstrated experience in technical report writing and preparation of standards and procedures.
