Team Leader Youth Development – Full Time Salary: $102,340 - $108,555 per annumPlus up to 14.5% superannuation (conditions apply)Ref No: 24-132The Youth Development team coordinates a range of programs, activities and events that foster healthy, resilient, informed, and engaged young people, and promote and celebrate the role of young people in our community.
We are looking for a team leader with experience in leading, coaching and people management at an individual and team level as well as effective communication skills in engaging and building purposeful mutually beneficial relationships with stakeholders. The successful candidate will assist with the strategic plan of youth development operations at the City and be responsible for planning, developing, and reviewing the associated policy and procedures. Familiarity with the YACWA Code of Ethics, Child Safe Standards and the role of youth services in a local government context is essential.
Your covering letter will need to address the following key criteria:
Coaching and people management including supervising, leading teams and performance.Interpersonal skills to identify, address and progress youth issues toward positive outcomes and build mutually beneficial relationships with all stakeholders.Analytical, problem-solving and research skills, including the ability to initiate, influence, monitor and evaluate new and existing processes and strategies.Business planning, organisation, time management skills, with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple competing deadlines.Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Youth Work, Social / Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration, or other relevant qualification or equivalent experience.Appointment subject to provision of a current satisfactory Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Certificate (no more than three months old).
