About the role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to join our Illawarra SSFP team.
In this role, you will lead a team of dedicated school counsellors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services for students, their families, and the school community.
As Team Leader, you'll be responsible for driving service excellence, overseeing team performance, and ensuring impactful and culturally responsive service delivery to students, families, and schools.
The role is a permanent, full-time position located in the Illawarra.

You will bring an empathetic, solution-focused approach to your work and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
Key Selection Criteria Degree in Social Work, Social Science, Counselling, or Psychology.
Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW), Clinical Membership with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), or general registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Up-to-date knowledge and recent experience in the provision of Clinical Supervision Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a mental health, counselling, or social services setting Demonstrated knowledge and experience in working with children, young people, and families, preferably within a school environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, manage, and delegate tasks effectively A commitment to CatholicCare's mission and values, and to supporting the mental health and well-being of young people Current driver's license and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) How to Apply If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and are excited about leading a dedicated team, we would love to hear from you!
