The Opportunity The Team Leader Landscape Operations Eastern is responsible for leading a team of landscape officers and delivering a range of programs and projects in accordance with the Eyre Peninsula Regional Landscape Plan priorities.
Working with the Manager Landscape Operations, this role is a key driver for contributing to effective community engagement and operational delivery of landscape management objectives at the district level.
Operational priorities include pest plant and animal control, sustainable agriculture, water resources, biodiversity, community engagement, and compliance requirements under the Landscape South Australia Act 2019 (the Act). The team leader works across the district and regional boundaries to coordinate and integrate community and stakeholder engagement in landscape programs and projects.
The role will contribute to district and regional level strategic planning and prioritisation processes, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

About Us
The Eyre Peninsula Landscape Board (the Board) is one of eight regional landscape boards and Green Adelaide that are responsible for supporting local communities to manage soils, water, pests, and biodiversity through the Landscape Act. The Board invests landscape levies into regional priority issues as well as leveraging Australian Government funding towards managing and protecting our productive and natural landscapes.
The Eyre Peninsula region covers approximately 80,000 square kilometers and includes part of the upper Spencer Gulf, the city of Whyalla, across the southern boundaries of the Gawler Ranges, past Ceduna to the edge of the Nullarbor Plain and south to the fishing hub of Port Lincoln. The local economy is diverse and includes primary industries (cereal crops, sheep, cattle, and viticulture), health and community services, manufacturing, retail trade, construction, education and training, and mining. The majority of South Australia's aquaculture farming is also located in the region. The Eyre Peninsula supports a population of just under 60,000 people and is the traditional lands of First Nations peoples.

Special Conditions Position is based at Cleve or Whyalla and may be required to work from other locations. A current minimum class C driver's licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4WD is required. Complete training to become an Authorised Officer under the Act as well as other relevant acts. Complete 1080 training and be involved in implementation of vertebrate pest control programs, including preparation and distribution of fox and rabbit bait. Complete ChemCert training and safely handle, transport and apply chemicals for the purpose of weed and vertebrate pest control. May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties. May be required to work outside of normal hours from time to time. Maintain an up to date First Aid Certificate. May be required to participate in field operations requiring off-road driving, travel in light aircraft or boat, and/or overnight absences in remote locations. This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. By applying for this role, you consent to being screened under the process of obtaining a National Police Clearance (NPC), and to the Board requiring you to obtain an NPC. Required to participate in the Board's Performance Development and Review Program. Remuneration
ASO6, $98,478 - $104,165 per annum.
