The successful candidate will allocate work as required to meet payroll processing requirements and timeframes to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery outcomes. In addition to this, you will participate in client engagement meetings and maintain regular communications with line managers to provide advice concerning payroll timeframes, processes and requirements relating to forms and roster submission timelines.
It is preferable that the applicant has Team Leader experience in a payroll setting and/or Senior Payroll Officer experience.
Key competencies/suitability (role specific criteria and personal qualities)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to apply them in managing daily operations of a team to provide customer-focused service in a large, complex and diverse environment.
Ability to contribute to and lead continuous quality improvement initiatives, strategies and principles in a team environment.
High level knowledge of Payroll Services with demonstrated ability to provide accurate advice in accordance with relevant industrial legislation.
High level interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels in an environment of organisational change.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded.
