Make a meaningful difference to the lives of Australians in need.
Life at Mission Australia
When you join the team at Mission Australia, you become part of a community who are determined to end homelessness and ensure people in need can thrive. United by our Christian purpose and values, we stand together with anyone who needs us, for as long as they need us.
Your Opportunity
Youth on Track offers an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of 10 to 17-year-old offenders at high risk of re-offending. By working with young people who have already encountered the justice system but have not yet received supervised orders, you'll play a crucial role in breaking the cycle of reoffending.
Utilizing cutting-edge tools from the Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research (BOCSAR) and Mission Australia's National Case Management Approach, you'll deliver intensive, person-centered support tailored to each individual's unique strengths and needs.
This role goes beyond traditional case management—it's about creating transformative, strength-based support plans, leading engaging group sessions, and empowering young people to take charge of their futures.
You'll collaborate with a passionate team, build strong partnerships with external stakeholders, and contribute to innovative service delivery. If you're ready to lead impactful change and help shape brighter futures, this is the role for you.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Provide culturally sensitive and responsive case management sessions.
Implement Mission Australia's National Case Management Approach.
Support the Program Manager in conducting staff meetings and providing information on case management development and service delivery.
Supervise a small team of case workers to offer tailored advice and support with appropriate engagement strategies.
Assist clients with brief therapeutic interventions and make referrals to suitable services.
Develop holistic, strength-based individual support plans using SMART goals.
Refer clients to supplementary services as needed.
Respond to referrals from internal and external support services.
Conduct phone and face-to-face assessments of client suitability for support.
Manage initial client registrations, including all necessary paperwork and application forms.
Induct clients into the service, covering property, facilities, financials, and regulations.
Complete a range of administrative tasks, including statistics, reports, referral letters, and goal plans.

Has a sound understanding of Mission Australia's Values and Code of Conduct and applies these in their role when interacting with other internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate and supervise the implementation of educational and/or development programs for clients.
Demonstrated knowledge of relevant policy and legislation.
Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including highly developed administrative skills and the ability to provide support to management of a complex nature.
