This theoretical framework provides the foundation upon which all elements of care and intervention are provided by our Therapeutic Services programs. The voice of children and young people is also essential in guiding our service delivery.The Australian Childhood Foundation stands at the forefront of transformative reforms in Western Australia's Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) sector. Aligned with the WA Government's initiatives, the Foundation emphasises stability in care, cultural sensitivity, and aims for seamless transitions and strong cultural connections for young people. Awarded a contract to deliver foster care services in the Perth area, the Foundation collaborates closely with Karla Kuliny Aboriginal Corporation to provide trauma-transformative therapeutic services, making significant strides in improving care outcomes for children and young people.The Opportunity:The Australian Childhood Foundation currently have an opportunity for a Team Leader to join their Perth office for a full-time ongoing role. This position will play a key role in ensuring positive outcomes for the children and young people in the program and leading a service that elevates the voice and needs of children, young people and their foster carers.Responsibilities:The Team Leader is responsible for providing effective support and supervision to a team of Care Coordinators and Therapeutic Specialists in the OOHC program and will work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to promote the therapeutic needs of children and young people. In addition, the Team Leader will provide clinical leadership and direction regarding therapeutic assessment, intervention, and service system responses.In collaboration with the Program Manager, will also be responsible for the development and delivery of high-quality therapeutic programs, including:Provision of consultation, training, support and strategic advice to carers, non-government and government staff caring for or working with children and young people in out of home care.Specialist assessment and review of children's needs in out of home care placements.Development of ongoing service system responses that will meet the therapeutic needs of vulnerable children in Western Australia.The successful applicant will also be responsible for implementing quality assurance and program development measures to ensure the program performance remains of a high quality and reflective of best practice in therapeutic care.
