Our client is a leading manufacturer that provides engineering solutions to a variety of industries nationally; residential, commercial, government, and education.
The business is currently experiencing significant growth and therefore is looking to recruit a Team Leader to their Victorian operations.
This position will report directly to the General Manager and will have a small team of engineers to manage.
Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of mechanical engineers with a hands-on involvement to develop advanced solutions.
Manage internal design reviews and participate in design reviews.
Ensure final output of machine designs are functional, cost-effective, and meet customer requirements.
Work extensively with metals, particularly sheet metal, understanding key properties and behaviors to develop stronger, more durable, and more efficient materials.
Prepare, communicate, and monitor individual workloads to optimize and adhere to project schedules as well as capacity management.
Develop department best practices and standard operating procedures.
Provide technical expertise on strategic initiatives and present key industry trends to senior management.
Work closely with sales, operations, and production teams to streamline the manufacturing process.
Inspire, mentor, grow, and develop engineering talent while providing vision and direction to the team.
Required Skills & Knowledge: 5+ years of professional experience in the Mechanical field and 3+ years of experience in a management leadership role.
Experience working in a fabrication environment and a strong background working with various metals is a must.
Proficient in the use of SolidWorks to generate 3D solid model designs from concept to fabrication.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio) and general computer literacy.
Extensive cross-functional team experience including technical and non-technical work.

Depending on your experience, the salary on offer is between $100K - $125K base plus super.
