The Head of Risk and Resilience is a new role which will work with the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead, co-ordinate and improve the design and implementation of a leading health insurer's Risk Function.

This role is located in Launceston, Tasmania and would be looking for someone who is willing to relocate. Responsibilities but not limited to: Enable a consistent and robust approach to governance and crisis resilience throughout the organisation. Ensure that risk, compliance, and crisis management strategies, processes, and internal control environments are effective and operating as designed. Develop risk management and business continuity/crisis management training information. Prepare draft reports to the Board, Board Committees, Executive and Business Unit leaders. Maintain, improve, and monitor compliance with the control monitoring program. Manage a team of 3. Background: (8+ Years) Deep experience within Risk, Compliance, and Operations gained either partially or wholly within Financial Services (APRA Regulated). Insurance advantageous but not essential. Business partnering skills with the ability to work closely with the Regulators while managing the company's interests and agenda. Analytical mind and excellent problem-solving skills, able to interpret complex regulatory policy and establish solutions for its implementation and fast adoption.
