Are you passionate about community inclusion? Then come join the team at genU! We are looking for a Team Leader to join our Community Participation team in Hobart. As a Team Leader you will lead, enhance and promote our skilled staff to continue to facilitate community inclusion for people living with disabilities through a wide variety of group based activities!
You will ensure our activities & programs are accessible and outcome focused.
Initiating and growing new social groups, to create community partnerships and opportunities for all!
Utilise and implement person centred and active support modules for clients.
Operate as required from our day centre program locations and support the teams as required.
Manage and provide performance feedback to frontline staff as required.
About You
Our ideal Team Leader will have but not limited to:
Experience in managing & motivating a team
Experience in designing, delivering & evaluating programs
Experience in rostering and systems such as Carelink and SAP.
Strong commitment to the inclusion of people living with disabilities
Excellent communication skills
Strong time management skills
Experience in Incident Management and Client Safeguards.
You will need the following:
Tertiary qualification in Disability, Community Services, or a related field; or a minimum of Certificate IV in Disability with substantial experience in the field; or substantial experience in the field and willing to undertake studies within 12 months of commencing employment.
Current First Aid, CPR Certificate and Medication endorsement or willingness to obtain
Working with Vulnerable People with NDIS Endorsement or willingness to obtain;
Full and Current Australian Drivers License with Comprehensive Insurance.
