The Role:The Team Leader Geospatial React Development is responsible for the creation, maintenance and enhancement of Planning and Land Use Services React based Geospatial Applications. The role is also responsible for planning, documenting and gaining approval for the architecture and tools used. The role leads a small team of react developers and ensures all applications are developed and maintained following the architecture, patterns and design principles specified.
This role requires a thorough understanding of geospatial concepts and expertise in integrating geospatial platforms such as MapLibre, React-Map-GL, and ESRI with React to develop advanced, spatially enabled web applications. Since all applications are delivered using the AWS cloud platform, strong proficiency in the AWS ecosystem is essential.
About You:To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
Extensive experience architecting and delivering react applications using the AWS cloud platform utilising services such as CDK, CloudFront, Lambda, ECS and API Gateway.Experience in BitBucket integration with CodePipeline and the strict adherence to CI/CD principles for code deployments.Well-developed, applied knowledge of System Development and support Methodologies (Devops, SDCL, Agile Development and ITIL).Extensive Geospatial Experience, using MapLibre, React-Map-GL and ESRI tooling to develop spatial applications in React.Experience building and using Geospatial python libraries such as GDAL for the delivery of geospatial data via APIs to React applications.Experience using Typescript, MUI, JEST, Vite, Redux and Storybook snapshots.Proven ability to lead a team of developers ensuring the team is delivering high-quality code, reviews, tests, and documentation.Ability to gather business requirements and create specifications in easy-to-understand business language, gain signoff and then produce detailed technical requirements for the team to deliver.Well-developed communication skills enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.Ability to work under tight timeframes with limited supervision.Experience using the Atomic Design Principle and Hexagonal Architecture to deliver React applications.Desirable Qualification:Relevant qualification that aligns to role requirements, such as a Bachelor's degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a closely related field, with a focus on modern web technologies such as React.
Special Conditions:Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration:ASO-7 $108,109 to $116,864
