About the roleWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate leader to join our Family Relationship Centre (FRC) as a Team Leader and FDR Practitioner. In this key role, you will provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to a dedicated team of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners and Family Advisors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, culturally inclusive services to families. Your focus will be to drive child-focused and inclusive practice and support the diverse needs of the program. You'll:
Work closely with the Centre Manager to continually enhance the effectiveness and quality of the FRC programLead and support a team of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners and Family Advisors, ensuring that clients receive high-quality support and mediation servicesOffer leadership and guidance to your team, assisting with inquiries, and ensuring smooth operations and outstanding service deliveryProvide clinical supervision and conduct competency assessments for nominated supervisees, ensuring that best practices are consistently followedDetailsFull time contract until 02/2026Based in BlacktownApprox $55 - $56 per hour (depending on skills & experience) + 11.5% super + 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900.Extra annual leave days between Christmas and New YearWhat you'll bringRegistration with the Australian Government Attorney General's Department Register of Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners is essentialMinimum 4–5 years working as Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner/Mediator, working with families in a post-separation contextProven leadership experience with expertise in supervision, guiding teams to achieve high standards of practice and service deliveryCollaborative team player who fosters a supportive environment, motivating and empowering peers and junior staff to excelAdvanced skills in family dispute resolution, with extensive experience in conducting assessments and delivering mediation interventionsChild-focused approach in mediation, ensuring the needs and voices of children are central in resolving family conflictsStrong understanding of relationship dynamics, domestic and family violence, child safety, trauma-informed practice, diversity awareness and mental health and wellbeingRelevant Tertiary Qualifications in the human services area (e.g. social work, psychology), law or other relevant qualificationsWhy work with us?Empower families to achieve an amicable outcome for their children and propertyStrong clinical and supervision framework to deepen our practice excellenceWork alongside people who truly care about what you achieve.
