Our organisation provides community members, small businesses, and organisations with specialist client care where personal, account, and credential information is compromised.IDCARE is an office-based work environment, with flexible work practices and operates extended business hours Monday to Friday between 7am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 12pm AEST.
Full-time hours for this role are 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday.About the RoleReporting to the Head of Cyber Security Clinic, the primary purpose of this role is to supervise IDCARE's small business, resilience, and incident response staff in accordance with national priorities, contractual performance requirements, deliverables, and caseload demands.The Cyber Security Clinic team is responsible for delivering cyber resilience and breach response services including:Harm AssessmentsDraft or actual incident response pagesCyber First Aid (for Small Business)Breach Response SimulationsBreach Response Plan Resilience ReviewsCyber & Privacy Health Checks for Small BusinessCase Management for Small BusinessSupport to Foundation research and development activitiesThe successful candidate will have a solid understanding of privacy, advocacy, consumer, and digital rights legislation, technical expertise in remediation, and the ability to understand and ensure contracted service delivery.
A key requirement is providing leadership and mentoring to a team of up to 16 in the deployment and management of cyber security response and resilience.
In addition, the position includes responsibility for providing on-call, frontline response to data breach incidents and other needs as requested by breached entities.
This may at times include evening or weekend work via on-call arrangements.The successful candidate has expertise in cyber or privacy law, advocacy, and case management.Skills, Experience, and QualificationsCISSP or equivalent cyber security certification and/or Legal practicing certificate in Queensland (or ability to obtain a practicing certificate in Queensland).Completion of at least 2 years' experience in managing cyber and privacy incidents within an Australian or New Zealand context.At least 2 years' direct supervisory experience of technical and/or legal staff or demonstrated ability to lead staff.Ability to work well within a team environment, manage time and competing priorities, and provide leadership and mentorship to a team.Ability to follow direction, adopt a continuous improvement model, and adhere to IDCARE Policies and Procedures.Police background check, working with children check, and suitability assessment (this will be arranged by IDCARE if shortlisted) and any offer of employment is subject to the completion of these checks and their results.Position ResponsibilitiesLeadership: manage, lead, and contribute to the teams development and delivery requirements in relation to the response, delivery, and case management of cyber security services to small businesses.
Support the development of staff and student placements through our Talent Management Program.Partner with senior staff including the National Manager of Intelligence, Analysis and Assurance, National Manager Client Treatment, and the Chief Engagement Officer.Provide technical support and develop incident response and cyber resilience discipline expertise.Support research priorities in cyber and privacy response system performance and related activities in partnership with IDCARE's College of Experts and our research translation agenda.Contribute, where relevant, towards the development of human ethics proposals, data and records management, and research collection priorities relevant to the role of the Cyber Security Clinic.Demonstrate the application of IDCARE's Values and work actively to build a positive and supportive culture within IDCARE's new Sydney office.
