Covert Analysis and Assurance supports AFP operations and strategic outcomes through the provision of a range of compliance, governance and administrative activities to ensure continued confidence in the AFP's use of covert powers.
These powers are enabled through the Telecommunications (Interception and Access) Act 1979 (Cth), Telecommunications Act 1997 (Cth), Surveillance Devices Act 2004 (Cth) and the Crimes Act 1914 (Cth).
Team Leader Covert Analysis and Assurance (CAA) plays a pivotal role in developing people, managing change and influencing behaviours that lead to a supportive culture that respects the perspectives, talents and value of each individual.
Consistent with the AFP values, AFP leadership philosophy, organisational reform agendas, AFP corporate business plans and Performance Development Agreement, the expectation is that Team Leaders CAA deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.
What will you do?
