Key ResponsibilitiesJob tasks & ResponsibilitiesYou will report to the Technical Discipline Manager (TDM). As a team lead, you will work closely with the TDM to identify opportunities for growth, manage team resourcing and development, and act as a mentor and professional role model for staff across the team with a caring and compassionate nature. We will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside industry leaders across the region and provide you with the support on your technical growth within the wider SLR team. With a passion for contaminated land management, earth sciences, contaminated hydrogeology, or environmental engineering, you will work with likeminded individuals, whilst enjoying excellent career opportunities across a range of industry sectors. As a self-starter, you will be able to display confidence and high-level project management, tenders/proposals preparation, data analysis and interpretation, and reporting.Skills & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have:• A professional qualification in environmental science or engineering or other relevant degree and a minimum of 10 years professional experience in consulting or similar industry role• Proven capability in environmental / contamination management (soil and groundwater)/ remediation (soil and groundwater), soil science, preferably in the development, mining and oil and gas sectors. • The ability to analyse and interpret complex situations/problems and develop appropriate solutions in an effective and efficient manner.• A high level of commercial acumen and proven success in developing winning proposals and client relationship management.• Be able to contribute and deliver business development plans• Proven project management experience.• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.• Proven report writing skills and high computer literacy including data management and manipulation• Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.• Commitment to safety• Hold a current unrestricted driver's license.• Australia Citizenship or rights to work in Australia.Our Benefits at SLR includeOur culture is unique where we work together to collaborate on projects to get the best possible outcome for our clients.
