Team Leader / Community Mental Health Senior Clinician - RPN4, OT, SW or Psychologist Grade 3 Full-Time, Fixed-Term Royal Melbourne Hospital Full-Time, Fixed-Term to May 2026.Some weekend shifts.Protected EFT for the delivery of Evidence-Based interventions.Attractive working conditions, 5 weeks AL.The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services is a collaborative and supportive work environment committed to providing evidence-based treatments to consumers and carers with serious mental illness.
Your new role: Delivery of evidenced based treatment and interventions that support consumers with complex mental health related needs and their families/carers.A combination of leadership role while maintaining direct clinical work.Support the team and the program manager to drive high standards of service provision.Drive self-development; contribute expertise in clinical meetings and to improve service delivery.Participate in supervision and provide supervision to students and colleagues as required.Actively lead in discipline specific and multidisciplinary team activities and meetings.Provide expert opinion regarding diagnostic impressions, formal diagnostic assessments, feedback on process considerations and treatment planning considerations/advice.Apply sound treatment skills for people with severe and enduring mental health conditions, and have willingness and capacity to commit to development of EB knowledge and practice.Assist with day-to-day operations of the team (e.g. workload management, support staff with clinical decision-making, staff recruitment, orientation and retention).About you: You must have a qualification as any of the following: Registered Psychiatric Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Psychologist, Social Worker or a Bachelor Degree in Nursing plus a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.A minimum of 5 years' experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability.Experience in at least one area of practice that aligns with the endorsed practice domains of the RMH MHS and have capacity and willingness to actively work using these approaches with consumers and carers.Current knowledge of effective evidence-based interventions appropriate to low prevalence disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar affective disorder, personality disorder and substance abuse.You are committed to developing your practice as a professional in clinical mental health.You are able to contribute and function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and enjoy working autonomously.Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in computer software use and information technology on the Microsoft Windows platform and ability to learn new programs and navigate databases.Hold a current Victorian Driver's Licence, and ongoing ability to use this form of transport.Benefits of working with The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services: The RMH MHS offers a vibrant, dynamic, collaborative and supportive work environment.We are a passionate group of people who love to work hard offering evidenced based services.You will help us achieve the highest standards of care and recovery for our consumers.In return, you will be supported to undertake continuous professional development and enjoy the work that you do.We have good processes and supports in place to help you organise your day and do it well.Interested in Applying?
