Our catering solutions not only keep our own clients well nourished, but also other care homes, commercial operations, and Meals on Wheels organisations. Our 1000 sqm commercial kitchen located in Malaga combines top-of-the-range equipment with a fully trained team of catering professionals to produce over 600,000 meals per year.We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Chef to join the catering team in our newly created Team Leader – Chef position. This is a permanent full-time position where you will need to have flexibility with start and finish times as you will be stepping in to provide leave cover when required.The Team Leader is responsible for supporting the Chef Supervisor by coordinating and executing the Production Plan to deliver high quality products, within the scheduled time frames and set staffing levels. This position ensures compliance with food safety requirements, highlights and reports any deviation from the plan to the Chef Supervisor in a timely manner to enable alternative options to meet the original plan requirements.Brightwater can offer you:The ability to salary package up to $18,550 pa – meaning you can legitimately pay less tax and increase your take-home pay.Our unique staff benefits program, including access to BrightwaterPlus which gives you discounts with over 370 retailers.Free on-site parking.To be suitable for this role, you will have:Relevant tertiary qualification or certificate related to food production.Significant working knowledge of the catering industry and HACCP.Previous experience leading a team in a catering service, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, customer service and problem-solving skills that effectively engage stakeholders to establish successful working relationships.Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise tasks, work effectively under pressure, problem solve and meet deadlines.Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised using own initiative, as well as the ability to work inclusively and collaboratively as a team member.Strong customer focus and motivation to improve efficiencies and outcomes.Current Western Australian 'C' Class Driver's License (desirable).Satisfactory National Police Certificate obtained within the last 12 months.Applications must be submitted through Brightwater's online portal by 20 December 2024, however shortlisting will begin immediately, and Brightwater reserves the right to close this advert before this date.Please contact Helen Adamos on 0437 624 760 should you require any more information.Brightwater.
