This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025. Currambine Primary School's (PS) motto of 'Together Towards Tomorrow' reflects our school's strong sense of community and our forward-thinking approach meeting the needs of our students, parents and staff.
Our school is located in the suburb of Currambine, approximately twenty-five kilometres north of Perth in the City of Joondalup.
Currambine is an Aboriginal word meaning place of hard rock.

Currambine PS opened with some 300 students in 1997 and has grown to over 800 students.
Over fifty per cent of the students who attend Currambine PS come from the surrounding suburbs, drawn by our reputation as a quality education provider for children from Kindergarten to Year 6.
We offer a broad and diverse curriculum to the students in our care.
Specialist programs in Music, Visual Art, Physical Education and French are offered across the school.
Selected students are offered the opportunity to study a musical instrument.

The successful applicant should teach Music across a range of ability levels from Kindergarten to Year 6.
Applicants who have sound classroom management, can develop rapport and engage students, who can differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs, and who can practise a range of teaching strategies are encouraged to apply.

Experience in establishing a school choir, showcasing students' talents to the wider community, and managing the Instrumental Music School Service (IMSS) program is highly desirable.
As a specialist Teacher of Music, you shall be an integral part of our teaching team.

The successful applicant should ideally have highly developed skills and experience in teaching Music as well as Drama to maintain and enrich The Arts program.
The successful applicant would ideally actively contribute and support a collaborative team approach to develop a culture of excellence in The Arts teaching and learning programs.
