Halidon Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of K-6 Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2025.
Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Halidon PS caters for the educational needs of approximately 200 students.

We are looking to create a pool of teachers from Early Childhood Teachers, Primary Teachers, and Primary Specialist teachers (our school has Music, Visual Arts, Japanese, Science and PE).
There will be the opportunity for permanent positions (0.2-1.0 FTE) and fixed term contracts available throughout 2024-25 – specialist area qualifications and experience will be matched to positions (ECE, Primary, specialist area).
Suitable applicants will ideally be collaborative with a growth mindset, dedicated, passionate, driven, and an evidence-based practitioner. Instructional coaching experience would be preferable to complement our 2024-26 Business Plan vision of building consistent whole school practices and low variance teaching approaches.
Applicants will optimally be committed to implementing the strategies within the Teaching for Impact document and deliver learning in the classroom through the ongoing, rigorous analysis of student data.
This mindset should require you to exhibit a proactive and positive approach to student engagement and behaviour, including the consistent application of low-key classroom management strategies, aligned to Positive Behaviour Strategies.
