This is a twelve (12) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 with possible extension and/or permanency. Karratha Senior High School, located in the City of Karratha, the hub of the Pilbara region of Western Australia, is an integral part of the community, providing a high-quality education for all students. As the successful applicant, you will ideally be an innovative and highly motivated educator with the ability to provide quality teaching in the Humanities curriculum area as part of a dedicated team. You will ideally have a passion for the Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) learning area and a deep understanding of instructional strategies to effectively engage students in the learning process.
You will ideally be a reflective practitioner who actively engages in activities to improve your professional practice. The successful applicant for this position will ideally be student and relationship focused, innovative and motivated, with the ability to work collaboratively in team environments. You will ideally have the professional knowledge, understandings and experience to develop and implement an engaging and relevant secondary school HASS curriculum. Knowledge and experience in delivering Senior School Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) Economics is desirable.
