Ocean Reef Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Health and Physical Education Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role The successful applicant will be passionate, dedicated and motivated to work within a collaborative team across a range of ability levels. They will have a sound understanding of the Year 7-10 Western Australian Health and Physical Education curriculum and the capacity to teach Senior School courses. They should provide purposeful and engaging learning experiences which enable all students to achieve their potential. They optimally will have high expectations of all students, a commitment to excellence and be able to display success in student achievement through a strong evidenced based teaching approach.
The successful applicant will ideally have effective interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including students, staff and families. They will engage in reflective practice and be committed to whole-school pedagogical approaches. Effective classroom management, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs and promote an environment of active and positive learning are also a strong focus for the position. The Health and Physical Education role requires excellent organisational skills and a high level of motivation and enthusiasm in the promotion of Health and Physical Education within the school community.
