Position DetailsSecondary HASS Teacher – Full-time, TemporaryKearnan College is a growing Catholic school catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 12.
The College is seeking a highly motivated and innovative HASS Teacher to teach students in Years 7 - 10.
This position requires someone who is enthusiastic, energetic and able to work as part of a successful team.
This is a temporary full-time position commencing 1 January 2025 and concluding 31 December 2025.
Selection CriteriaThe Successful Applicant Must: Be prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of their duties.Have a detailed knowledge of current curriculum developments in the HASS teaching and learning area.Have excellent planning skills and the ability to create programs that cater for individual differences.Have the ability to analyse and use data to inform teaching and learning practices in order to raise student levels of achievement.Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills so as to engage positively with colleagues, students and parents.Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills that create a supportive and safe environment.Have an excellent understanding of a variety of assessment and reporting strategies and the need to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students.Have the capacity to be a pro-active member of a professional learning community, complying with legal, administrative and professional requirements.Demonstrate an ability to integrate technology effectively into the daily classroom environment.Have a preparedness to be fully involved in school activities.Qualifications RequiredBachelor of Education or equivalent.
