Salary: Teacher, $78,397 - $113,568 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2021)
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025. Duncraig Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the north-western suburbs on the coastal strip 18 kilometres from Perth.
We cater for students from Year 7 to Year 12 and are a school of high standards where the care and progress of every child is our first priority.
We continue to improve our resources and facilities through the support of our Board, our parent body, and the Education Department.

Duncraig Senior High School is seeking to appoint a dedicated Business and Information Technologies Teacher.
Business Education sits within the Technologies Learning Area at Duncraig SHS and the primary focus of this role is Business Education.
The successful applicant should ideally be student and relationship focused with a successful track-record and experience in teaching Business Management and Enterprise as well as having knowledge and experience delivering Certificate II or III to students.
This could include Certificate II in Workplace Skills or Certificate III in Business.
As such, suitable applicants will ideally possess a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or be willing to obtain this qualification.

Any experience in delivering lower school Information Technologies and Finance courses would be highly desirable.
Teachers with strong Business backgrounds from the Humanities Learning Area are encouraged to apply.
The role will include teaching a single lower school class in Information Technology in 2025 and so the successful applicant should ideally be open to building their repertoire of skills within this domain.

Suitable applicants should be dedicated and highly motivated educators with the ability to provide high quality teaching and learning programs to meet the needs of our students.
Applicants will ideally have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum, be able to deliver content in an engaging manner, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be a highly effective team member.
Experience with Gifted and Talented students and a demonstrated ability to effectively differentiate for both academic extension and Students at Educational Risk (SAER) will be highly valued.

Duncraig SHS offers a range of extra curricular programs and opportunities for students, applicants who demonstrate a history and/or passion for being involved in these important complementary programs would be highly regarded.

The school has worked collaboratively with staff and have embedded a Teaching and Learning framework and model that support best practices in the classroom and teacher development, which maximise student engagement and outcomes.
Suitable applicants should have a genuine interest in working in collaboration with the Head of Learning Area (HOLA) to facilitate refinements in pedagogy, curriculum and student achievement across Year 7 to Year 12.

Strong knowledge and skills in the effective integration of innovative and engaging ICT based technologies in the classroom is important as Duncraig SHS operates a 1:1 personal ICT device policy that is firmly embedded across all learning areas.
A familiarity with online teaching and learning platforms such as SEQTA or Compass will be well regarded
