Salary: Teacher, $78,397 - $113,568 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2021)
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 Ocean Reef Senior High School (SHS) is committed to ensuring every child is on a pathway to success. Within the Visual Arts area, a range of subjects are offered at Ocean Reef SHS including Visual Art and Media across all year levels, and Photography from Year 9 leading into Senior School.
The successful applicant will ideally have in-depth understanding and experience in planning, delivering, and assessing an exciting and engaging Visual Arts curriculum across Year 7 to 12. They will be passionate, dedicated, and motivated to work within a collaborative Arts learning area team. A demonstrated capacity to engage students in a creative journey utilising visual techniques, technologies, practices, and processes is highly desirable. They should have high expectations of all students, a commitment to excellence and be able to display success in student achievement through a strong evidenced based teaching approach.
The successful applicant will ideally possess effective interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders including students, staff, and families. They should engage in reflective practice and display commitment to whole-school pedagogical approaches. Effective classroom management, the ability to differentiate curriculum to cater for individual student needs, and promote an environment of active and positive learning are also a strong focus for the position.
