Basic Purpose of Job:The Taxation Reporting Senior Associate role within Global Delivery is responsible for preparing/reviewing various APAC, EMEA and North America Financial trust distribution and tax provision packages in accordance with established procedures. The role involves interaction with various units locally and overseas. The Senior Associate should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment. Accuracy, timeliness and delivery of client service are imperative in this position with increased focus towards quality controls, documentation and process improvements.Responsibilities & Tasks Include:Produce or review monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports and related workingEnsure that allocated client reporting is completed and submitted for review on a timely basisMaintain records on the tax reporting related systems and acting as senior system supporterAnswer and handle complex issues and queries and escalate as needed; acting with a sense of urgency to meet required deliverablesLiaising with internal/external counterparties to obtain information where requiredCoach and assist less experienced staffIdentify risk issues, breaches and act in accordance with the 'risk' escalation chain and operating proceduresActing as escalation point where applicableBe accountable for assigned tasks and deadlines for self and for the teamDocumentation – Be able to review and correct the process documentation such as process flows, Standard Operating procedures (SOPs) and coach the teamUnderstand the end to end process and be able to seek support to clear out inter process upstream/downstream dependencies, suggest process improvements and be able to seek support to drive projects to create efficiencies/enhance controlsWorking together with the tax client service team to effectively manage auditor/client queriesUnderstand the client requirements and guide the team towards efficiently managing its deliverablesConduct performance planning and reviews for direct staff membersWork closely with the Manager and senior management to drive solutionsJob Requirements:Education and ExperiencePost Graduates (CA/CPA/CFA qualified or studying towards) preferably or Bachelor degree with Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm relevant experienceAt least 4+ years of experience in tax or financial services environmentGood leadership, negotiation and analytical skills, proven track record of efficiency creation, staff development and people management skillsSkills/ KnowledgeGood understanding of managed investment funds, relevant accounting standards and applicabilityGood understanding of financial services and investment productsDetail-oriented individual capable of performing in a high pace environmentDemonstrated ability to meet deadlines and possess strong problem solving and resolution skillsExcellent PC skills (Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word)Data & Analysis - Possesses strong attention to detail.
