We are currently looking for a proficient Financial Accountant to join our Sydney Corporate team based in Minto (South Western Sydney). This role would be suited to someone who is looking for the next step in their career.
The role: As the Financial Accountant you will report to the Finance Manager and work alongside both Finance and Operational teams. You will be responsible for a range of Finance functions including but not limited to:
Monthly reconciliation of balance sheets accounts and ensure variances are brought to attention of Finance Manager and maintenance of general ledger.Preparing & Reviewing monthly P&L's.Provide insight and guidance to the management team in how to improve profitability and financial performance.Fixed asset maintenance.Intercompany transactions, reconciliation, and analysis.Ensure regulatory compliance, including but not limited to FBT, BAS and IRD.Ensuring compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, controls and systemsFacilitating the year-end audit processesPreparing Annual Budgets and Weekly & Quarterly ForecastsAssisting in process improvement To be the successful candidate you will have: Have a relevant Accounting Qualification. Completed or studying towards a CA or CPA qualification.At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.Experience in SAP is desirable.Demonstrated computer literacy skills and ability to learn new systems.The ability to work independently and as part of a team as well as take on new tasks with a high level of difficulty.The ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
