About the Role: This role will involve overseeing the preparation of income tax returns for individuals as employees, sole traders, partnerships, trusts, companies, and self-managed super funds and associated financial statements. The position also includes interacting with the director on consulting matters and work around structuring and proactive tax planning and multi-entity structures. Client liaison and direct client interaction are a prominent feature of regular activities. This person will have to effectively manage Director and client expectations alongside team workflow.
Key Responsibilities: Assisting practice manager to monitor KPI's Overseeing firm quality control processes Scoping client work, involving fee estimates and budgeting Responding to client queries, both in-person and online Review of financial reports and tax returns for all entity types Alongside the Director, consulting on tax planning, structures, and advisory Client support on guidance with indirect taxes Oversight of bookkeeping and payroll division Client accounting software and other third-party apps, including AI, to aid in process improvement and efficiencies Leadership team meetings with director and practice manager Experience: A minimum of 5 years experience in Australian Business Services, preferably with a minimum of 2 years experience in a management role Ability to work in a progressive environment A broad knowledge of taxation is essential to the role Strong analytical and problem-solving capacity Excellent time management, planning, people, and organizational skills Professional written and verbal communication Coordinate workflow of team members for optimum client user experience Proficient in XPM & Xero What you'll get in return: Work-Life Balance We want to make sure you're supported to live your best life – flexible working arrangements to accommodate your needs.
