Kingpin International require a skilled Tax Controversy Lawyer to join an inclusive firm in Melbourne. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment. Located in one of Australia's most culturally rich cities, you will be part of a team dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services while engaging with a diverse range of clients.What we can offer you 150,000 AED to 180,000 AED per annum, depending on experienceFlexible and hybrid working optionsSupport in your career progressionComplimentary breakfast and drinks in the officeExciting company eventsExcellent health and wellbeing programmeYour key responsibilities as a Tax Controversy LawyerIn this role, you will assist clients in preparing for and resolving disputes with the ATO and State/Territory revenue authorities. Your responsibilities will include managing complex reviews and audits, drafting objections, briefing counsel, and engaging in alternative dispute resolution processes and tax litigation in both State and Federal courts. This position offers the chance to collaborate with various clients and subject matter experts, enhancing your written and oral advocacy and dispute resolution skills while providing legal advice in taxation and administrative law.RequirementsCandidates applying for the Tax Controversy Lawyer role should have prior experience in corporate tax, international tax, tax law, or tax dispute resolution, ideally from a Big 4 firm, law firm, or the Australian Taxation Office, with Big 4 experience being particularly advantageous. You must demonstrate the ability to quickly and efficiently analyse information, utilising innovative and creative solutions to address client issues.Strong problem-solving skills are essential for understanding and meeting client needs, along with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients even after projects are completed.
