Your responsibilities will span a diverse range of tasks, from providing in-house advice on ANZ and international tax matters to hands-on accounting journals and reconciliations.

What you will be involved in: Provide technical tax advice and guidance to ANZ management and employees Prepare Australian and New Zealand ledger tax provisions and balance sheet reconciliations for all tax accounts, including maintenance of the tax fixed asset books Prepare and lodge all tax-related returns and obligations for Australia and New Zealand Support audits, reviews, or queries from relevant authorities Liaise with key internal stakeholders and external advisors Participate in the annual statutory audit process, including preparation of tax-effect accounting and associated disclosures in the financial statements Contribute to the preparation of technical position papers and Board papers Assist in implementing and maintaining group tax policies, effective tax planning, and risk mitigation Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian and New Zealand tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance Prepare income tax returns, FBT returns, and monthly BAS returns for Australia and New Zealand, and assist with tax-related matters for international regions as required What we would like from you: A relevant tertiary degree with a minimum of 3 years' tax experience CA/CPA qualification or currently studying towards it Strong knowledge of tax legislation, including income tax, GST, FBT, and payroll tax In-house tax accounting exposure, ideally within a large multinational organisation or tax consultancy Proven experience in applying tax legislation to practical scenarios Advanced skills in MS Excel A proactive approach to implementing continuous improvements Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively Advanced communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Life at Nova – it all adds up!
