The Department of Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant to join their Rehabilitation team at the Mersey Community Hospital.
The Team:
The Rehabilitation Service Unit consists of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing patients' functional and cognitive abilities to improve independence and quality of life. We use an individualised patient-centred approach to meet the goals and outcomes mutually identified by the individual, their family, and therapy staff.
The Role:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Rehabilitation will work within an Acute/Primary Health Care Framework, Agency policies, legal requirements, and professional competencies. Responsibilities include:
Providing professional advanced clinical leadership and expertise in the delivery of clinical advice, assessments, and interventions based on best practices in the health care management of patients requiring rehabilitation services.
Undertaking a consultative role by maintaining a comprehensive network with community and support groups, developing professional collaborative linkages with other health professionals across the acute and community sectors.
Implementing evidence-based practices through teaching, research, policy, and protocol development.
Details of Appointment:
Fixed term, part-time, day worker position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing from February 2025 until January 2026. Note: hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary:
$114,851 to $121,886 pro rata, per annum, with an 11.5% superannuation contribution on top of this amount.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455 - $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4. In addition, the following allowances may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
