Paramedic Fixed Term and Casual Employment Register Australia, TasAug 4, 2023About the Tasmanian State Service The Tasmanian State Service (TSS) is the largest employer in Tasmania, with over 28,000 employees providing services to the Tasmanian community at all levels.
The Paramedic Employment Register is established to provide the Department of Health with a pool of experienced and skilled people who are able to work at short notice.
Interested persons are able to submit their application to be considered for Paramedic duties on a fixed-term basis.
This Register will remain open to applicants until 30 June 2025 and will be reviewed on a regular basis.
Duties Provide pre-hospital clinical care to the Tasmanian community, including the transport of patients by ambulance or other means.Attend to members of the community requiring clinical care and treatment via ambulance services.Independently, or as part of a team, deliver pre-hospital clinical care in accordance with approved clinical practice guidelines.Maintain constant contact with the State Communications Centre, in accordance with Ambulance Tasmania policies, procedures, and work instructions.Complete all relevant documentation with respect to clinical services, training provided, and changes to the working environment and equipment.Minimum Requirements Registered with the Paramedicine Board of Australia.Holds a Bachelor of Paramedic Science and relevant work experience or other qualification approved by the Service.Current Driver Licence.The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer.
The following checks are to be conducted:Conviction check in the following areas:a) Crimes of violence;b) Sex related offences;c) Serious drug offences;d) Crimes involving dishonesty;e) Serious traffic offences.Identification check.Disciplinary action in previous employment check.How to apply You are asked to address the selection criteria within the relevant Statement of Duties.
