The Opportunity We are looking for a Workshop Leading Hand for our Hobart Branch.
The Workshop Leading Hand will oversee the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service. This role requires a blend of agricultural and mechanical expertise, leadership skills and the ability to interact effectively with both customers and staff.
To be successful, you will be a confident self-starter with a passion for agricultural and small construction machinery, an open mind for a rural lifestyle and demonstrate the following attributes.
Key Responsibilities Mechanical Experience
Extensive knowledge of agricultural and construction machinery Diagnose and repair skills, ensuring all machinery is repaired in a safe manner Customer Interaction
Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs Maintain a high level of quality output and customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly Mentor and train apprentices, providing guidance and support to develop their skills Create a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging continuous learning and development Workflow and WIP Management
Manage work-in-progress (WIP) and workflow to ensure timely completion of tasks and quality control Coordinate with team members to prioritise and allocate resources efficiently Understanding of productivity and efficiencies Teamwork
Demonstrate strong teamwork skills and work closely with service advisor, parts advisors and the sales team to ensure seamless operations Effective communicator across all departments Relevant Trade Certificate or experience as a Diesel Mechanic Strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical diagnostic skills and experience Excellent customer service and communication skills Advanced troubleshooting experience Share our passion for being a part of an engaged workforce A current driver's licence Reward In return, you will be working alongside our experienced Service Team for a company that values its employees.
