Are you a strong leader with payroll exposure looking to make an impact? Our client is seeking a Payroll Operations Manager to lead a newly structured operational team.
About the Role:
In this pivotal role, you'll manage a team of up to 13, including senior payroll professionals, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. While you won't handle payroll processing directly, your leadership will guide the team in delivering accurate, timely payroll services. You'll work closely with key stakeholders to ensure operational success and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and empower a team of up to 13, fostering a culture of accountability and respect. Oversee daily payroll operations, reporting, and time-and-attendance functions. Drive process improvements, particularly in SAP automation and system optimisation. Collaborate closely with leadership and stakeholders, including fortnightly meetings with senior management. Maintain high standards and ensure adherence to deadlines and operational goals. What We're Looking For:
Strong People Leadership: Proven experience leading teams, with the ability to hold people accountable, focusing on collaboration, improvements and shared respect. Operational Expertise: Experience steering operational teams, implementing improvements, and ensuring compliance. Innovative Mindset: Someone who brings fresh perspectives, looking for ways to improve processes and outcomes. Payroll Exposure: Understanding of payroll operations, awards, and HRIS systems (SAP experience is a plus but not essential). Flexibility: Willingness to work from the office four days a week and adapt to business needs. What's On Offer:
