About the Role

This opportunity is a 4 month Fixed Term Assignment

The Talent Acquisition Advisor is responsible for the coordination of the end-to-end recruitment processes and services to the Department to ensure efficient delivery of service. The role requires strong attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and effective communication. Working closely with the relevant portfolio, you will support and contribute to other activities within the broader team.

Position Outcomes / Accountabilities

Manage multiple end-to-end recruitment processes simultaneously, including taking briefs, developing sourcing strategies, advertising, shortlisting and managing pre-employment checks through to onboarding.

Establish and maintain effective relationships with hiring managers, with the confidence to influence and negotiate on recruitment decisions, provide recruitment advice and ensure recruitment activities are planned and delivered within agreed timeframes.

Manage the process for advertising, providing support and guidance to hiring managers advertising in the press and ensure that invoices are processed in a timely manner.

Liaise with and provide authoritative advice to HR Business Partners, Business Managers, hiring managers and candidates on a range of VPS recruitment and agency on-hire queries in a timely manner.

Assist and support the Talent Acquisition Team Lead and the Manager, Talent Acquisition, in process improvement activities.

Partner with our Inclusion and Diversity team to implement recruitment strategies that will support our commitment to priority cohorts.

Flexibility and adaptability are needed to explore and implement new strategies, ensuring the best outcomes. You'll also monitor the impact of your work and collaborate across teams to support and address issues effectively.

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory

Previous experience in a large and complex organisation.

Proven track record of excellent stakeholder management skills, including strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.

Proven, current and well demonstrated experience, performance and capability as a Talent Acquisition Consultant/Specialist, recruiting in a TA function, RPO or Recruitment agency environment.

Desirable

A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or relevant recruitment experience.

High level demonstrated experience in using the VPS (SAP) recruitment systems, a good understanding of processes would be an advantage.
