About the Role
TAFE SA is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Lecturer, Automotive to provide educational leadership and inspire the next generation of automotive professionals.

The role entails:
Providing educational leadership across the automotive program area.
Supervising and coordinating delivery methodologies, including preparation of timetables.
Implementing best practices in educational methodologies.
Leading resource development and promoting collaboration across the program.
Liaising with industry to address ongoing training needs and respond to emerging trends.
Guiding and mentoring staff to enhance program delivery and ensure consistent educational quality.
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies and learning management platforms, such as CDX, Cengage, LMS systems, and Moodle-based systems.
To be considered you will need:
Relevant industry trade qualifications (Certificate III level minimum or above).
Bachelor's in Education (Adult Education/VET) or Graduate Diploma in Adult/VET Education (or equivalent).
Extensive industry experience in light or heavy vehicle repair, ideally with dual trade qualifications (e.g., Auto Electrical, Marine, Mobile Plant, Motorcycle).
Strong technical skills and current trade knowledge relevant to the automotive field.
Proven ability in curriculum development, vocational training, and teaching methodologies.
Effective leadership and team coordination skills with experience in mentoring and professional development.
Proficiency in using technology and e-learning platforms in an RTO/TAFE environment.
Strong interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and mentorship.
Knowledge of WH&S standards, legislative compliance, and risk management.
A commitment to continuous improvement and familiarity with emerging industry trends.
Special Conditions
The successful applicant is required to demonstrate having a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC) prior to being employed.
Applicants who do not hold a WWCC will need to apply at Department of Human Services (DHS).

Out of hours work may be required and a flexible approach to the hours of duty is essential.
Some intrastate and interstate travel may be required.
May be required to relocate to other campuses within TAFE SA.
A flexible approach to the taking of leave is essential.
