About the areaCollege Services provides academic administration and technical support services to UWA's schools. The Technical Services team plays a key role in delivering applied knowledge and skills in support of UWA's teaching and research goals. Working within the Physical Sciences, you will contribute to research, laboratory management, and technical solutions, all in alignment with UWA's strategic objectives.
About the opportunityProvide technical expertise in IT platforms and software tools supporting teaching and research in computer science and software engineering.Collaborate with academic and IT staff to design, implement, and maintain teaching and research environments, including fieldwork.Maintain compliance with University policies and promote a pragmatic safety culture.About youRelevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in computing, IT, or related technical fields.Proven ability to manage technical platforms and provide technical maintenance in a multi-environment setup (Windows, Linux, Mac).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recommend solutions in a dynamic environment.Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with academic staff, students, and technical teams.Ability to supervise staff and manage equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.Special RequirementsAbility to fit the physical requirements of the position.Some after-hours work may be required.How to apply
