Systems Engineer

About the Role: Fantastic opportunity to join a global organisation that operates across Australia, Europe, Asia and the US, employing over 3000 people.
Working within the Infrastructure team, the System Engineer will play a pivotal role in providing 3rd line operational support.
managing and maintaining backend IT systems, implementing new technologies, and handling both routine and project-based tasks in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities: Monitor, manage, and optimise servers and infrastructure applications to ensure peak performance.
Oversee VMware infrastructure and SAN storage solutions (HP 3PAR & Dell/EMC).
Provide expert support for cloud-based solutions (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) and integrate them seamlessly.
Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline server management.
Maintain and update infrastructure documentation in accordance with company standards.
Adhere to IT processes, including change control and system security, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Resolve incidents, support major incident activities, and collaborate with the Service Delivery team to manage escalations.
About You: Extensive experience with Active Directory 2016/2019, Exchange and SQL Server Proficient in Windows Server 2016/2019 and Microsoft clustering technology.
Strong PowerShell scripting skills.
Expertise in virtualization (VMware).
Familiarity with HP 3PAR, Dell/EMC SAN Storage Azure, M365, and ADFS/SSO technologies experience Understanding of network fundamentals, ITIL principles, and compliance frameworks.
Experience in agile environments and strict change control processes.
